Annapurna Base Camp Trek
The Annapurna trek is situated in Nepal. It has a height of approximately 5200 meters. This is yet another challenging trek that one should undertake. If you visit this trek, you will have the best time spent here.
There are several routes that you may pass on that are not available on any google maps or route maps. You need to have a lot of skills before going on this trek. You need to be so determined as well as there is the need to ensure your physical fitness.
Because this is such a toughest trek that you have to undergo. July, August, and September are considered to be the best months to visit this particular trekking place.
2. Kalindikhal Trek
This is considered to be a trek that has a height of around 5946 meters. This is one of the most challenging, toughest, and difficult treks present in the mountains of Garhwal. Several iconic attractions can be visited while trekking here including the Thapovan, Nandhavan, Vasuki Tal, etc.
This place is covered in such a way with snow glaciers and you may travel across the river crossings, etc. Undoubtedly the trekking experience that you get here will be so great that you will not forget it soon. You will be exploring a major portion of Gharwal, starting from the Bhagirathi river basin to the Alakananda river basin.
This is considered to be yet another peculiarity or uniqueness of this particular trekking point. You need to dedicate 18 days to complete this trek. Mid-June, July, and August are considered to be the best time to spend here.
3. Goecha La Trek
This is yet another trek situated in Sikkim. This particular trek has an altitude of around 4940 meters. This trek is such a one that provides mesmerizing visuals for all the people who visit here. The attractiveness, the loveliness, and the other aesthetic elements of nature are joined together to make this trek an amazing one.
This can be regarded as one of the romantic treks in India as well. The Rhododendron Forest, which is present here, the Samiti Lake’s azure blue water, the pasturelands, everything provides more and more beauty to this trek.
Not only do these things add more beauty, but it acts as ornaments for making these treks visually beautiful.
The Beginning of the Trek
Your trekking will be starting from Yuksom and you will be covering a lot of beautiful places while trekking here which includes the Tshoka, Dzongri, Phedang, etc. Before reaching this particular Goecha La Trek, one thing you need to note is your permit for trekking.
Because you need to have a trekking permit from Gangtok. To trek to Goecha la, you need to spend a minimum of 10 days and a maximum of 12-13 days to complete trekking here.
Mid-March to mid-June and September to mid-November is considered to be the best time to visit this particular trek. This trek is a bit moderate to challenging and hence you need to take all the necessary precautions as well.
4. Bara Bhangal Trek
This particular trek is situated in Himachal Pradesh and has a height of 5260 meters. You need to dedicate around 15 days to trek through this place. While trekking through here, you may come across various hot water springs.
You will also get to know more about these springs as these are considered to be having certain therapeutic significance as well. May to September is considered to be the best time to visit this trek. This is yet another challenging trek that one should never miss in their entire lifetime.
5. Auden’s Col Trek
This trek is situated in Uttarakhand and has an altitude of around 5490 meters. This is considered to be one of the toughest and most challenging treks that one may undertake in the mountains of Garhwal. This trek was discovered by John Bicknell Auden and hence it was named after him, in the year 1935.
Then there is a bridge that has an elevation of approximately 6580 meters. You can take the route from Rishikesh and from there you will be moving to UttarKashi, Gangotri, etc. Here you will be returning from Kedarnath, Gauri Kund, and then back to Rishikesh.
You need to dedicate a minimum of 18 days to complete trekking here. Mid-May to Mid-October is considered a great time to visit here. So many natural attractions are also present here including the Vasuki Tal, Kedarnath, Gauri Kund, Rudraprayag, several glaciers, etc.
