Pangong Lake
This is one of the saltwater lakes which is situated in the eastern region of Ladakh. It has a height of around 14000 feet and is approximately 160km long. Around one-third of Pangong lake only is in India whereas the rest lies in parts of another country, China. This is one of the very famous and most popular places to visit in Ladakh, that one should not miss. This is a serene lake that has such a peculiarity that it has water, which is having a crystal blue color.
If you are a person who enjoys calmness or peace, then definitely this will be the place you are searching for. You can spend some time here and you will experience a sense of repose. In the Bollywood movie, ‘Three Idiots’, this Pangong Lake has been featured and hence it has become such a great element for the people to visit here. People used to take selfies, photographs, etc. because they knew that the climax scene of this Bollywood movie had been shot here.
Biking
Biking is yet another adventure every person likes to do and here you can do Biking at the Khar dung La Pass. On the highest road in the world, you can enjoy Biking. This became a world-famous pass because of this reason. It has a height of around 18300 feet. This is yet another most exciting thing that each daredevil looks upon to do in Ladakh. You will feel a sort of incompleteness if you are not able to do Biking here.
Sunset
The Sunset at the Shanti Stupa will be such a great experience for any very spiritual person. Your mind will be filled with peace as well as a sense of positivity will be regained by your body as well as mind. For this, you should not miss going to the Shanti Stupa and watching the sunset there. This particular place is situated on the hilltop called Chanspa, which is exactly situated in Leh. This was one such place that was said to be built by the Buddhists who were Japanese, in the year 1991.
It has been regarded as one of the seven Stupas of Shanti, which were constructed by these Buddhist people. These Stupas symbolize eternal peace and bliss. This is built in such a way that it is double-storied. The presence of a large hall that is solely dedicated to meditation purposes is yet another highlight. Tourists or the people who visit here can easily have access to this place since it is near Leh city, that is., 13km from the city’s center.
Trekking
If you are such a daredevil who is very much interested in doing such interesting adventures in this particular place, then you have reached the right destination. That is the Chadar trek. You can visit here during the wintertime and it is advised to visit this place in February, which is the time which denotes the end of winter. You can do trekking here over the river called Zanskar. There is one peculiarity about this river, that is., this river will be completely frozen, especially during this time.
This is such a long trek which is around 62km, and you must dedicate some 8 to 10 days to complete trekking in this particular place. You should be aware of certain things before trekking here. Since this is not an easy trek, you need to be well prepared before trekking here. This is such a very highly difficult trek and it will be more difficult because of the weather, which is unpredictable. Therefore daredevils, you may have to be ready to face challenges if you have decided to trek here. Even though this is such a highly difficult trek, most people chose to trek here because of their love for adventure. For enjoying the panorama of snow in Ladakh, you must not miss this place.
Magic Hill
Guys, you do not miss the magic that you will enjoy in the magnetic Hill. We all love magic; magic is always something which makes us feel entertained as well as it makes us very excited isn’t it? If you are such a person who gets very much interested in witnessing these treats of magic, then you must visit the Magical Magnetic Hill.
This is a place which is situated near Leh city that is 30km far from the city center. Here you will experience some anti-gravitational phenomena. If you are traveling via a car and there are chances that you may stop the vehicle in between. Even though your vehicle is in neutral gear, you can witness your car moving on its own.
